Bird and wildlife watching holidays in Scotland, the wider UK and around the world to places such as Costa Rica, British Columbia, Eastern Europe, Spain and more.

"The Wildcat! We were enjoying a stunning sighting of a female Pine Marten and noticed she was looking anxious. She then - clearly spooked - climbed higher up the tree/post and was observing something on the ground. I looked down and staring right up at me was a male Wildcat! He was only there for a second or two - no time to take a photo - but it was utterly wonderful - I still haven't processed it three days later.” Ben, Evening Mammal Hide, February 2025

"There was not one single highlight, as the whole day was a highlight. It would be unfair to pick one out. Seeing wildlife was spectacular but seeing the forests, lochs and countryside was also lovely. If I had to pick one out seeing close up and listening to the Red Grouse was amazing. Also the possible Golden Eagle. But the whole day was exceptional." John, Guided Day Out, March 2025

"The group and guides were number one, from the group size and makeup, to personalities where people got along and helped one another, as well as the two guides who we believe everyone enjoyed and were just great people to spend two weeks with. Second would be the variety of birds and other animals observed and not feeling rushed to get a photo or having to move on in a hurry, loved the pace and everything we saw or had the chance to see." Andy and Kari, Costa Rica 2025

“The guides were excellent. We were kept informed of all plans and activities but above all they were fun to be with…..We were so lucky with the weather, and it was lovely to see so many waders, some ready for migration and Eiders at such close quarters with just the sounds of their calls and the sea. I have never seen or heard so many Cuckoos.” Pam, Outer Hebrides 2025

“Another great Speyside holiday, with amazing weather. Alderney a wonderful location with such a variety of habitats, friendly residents and a great hotel…..Blonde hedgehogs with Suzy a highlight, as was the boat trip around the whole island. The piggies were amazing too! Julian great fun and an excellent guide as ever. So many highlights, too numerous to mention all. Good friendly group too. Also, our thanks to Susanne for sorting our amendments and extras, the ferry and the Imperial on Guernsey, perfectly organised as ever.” Belinda and Steve, Alderney 2025

“We want to mention the guides; they were so different and complemented each other superbly. Julian - great character and so experienced and knowledgeable. So interested in other people and their lives. Simon - ever calm, brilliant at hearing and especially at finding things on the scope. Both so courteous and their attention to detail and the wellbeing of group was never too much trouble. Wonderful flybys from Lammergeier and Golden Eagle; 15 orchid species; great butterflies’ the guides ensured our holiday was all wildlife and not just birds. The scenery was thrilling, so too the villages we went to - a spectacular castle and monastery. Just so memorable.” Chris, The Spanish Pyrenees, 2025

“The whole trip was amazing, highlights include seeing such birds as Beautiful Nuthatch - two of them feet away on a branch; Rufous-necked Hornbill canoodling in a tree; Blood Pheasant strutting about; Ibisbill walking in the river; rhododendrens and magnolias in flower; primulas carpetting the grass; Stupa and Dzong with amazing painted woodwork; beautiful butterflies and such kind and smiling people. One of our best trips ever, thankyou Speyside!” Sara and Roy, Bhutan 2025
